Everyone has had one of those day’s where you woke up in a right bad mood?
Not ever a ‘ah dam, I feel a bit poo’ day, more a ‘COME NEAR ME AND I WILL GO HORMONAL NINJA ON YOUR ASS!!‘
I’m having a little chuckle to myself now imagining what a hormonal ninja might look like.
We all have those days. After all we are human and we shouldn’t feel guilty for waking up on the wrong side of bed every now and then.

You’re never fully dressed without a smile!
Even if you are constantly battling the urge to smack someone in the chops, plaster a smile on your face. Studies have shown that when characteristics of a smile are mimicked, it boosts the mood. I’m not talking about fake it till you make it, but find a memory or even something visual (like a cat meme or video) that makes you smile so that each time you find you’ve got a frowny face, you can turn it upside down with a happy thought! Laughter is also the best medicine. So stick on a comedy video on Youtube during your lunch break for a mood boost.
Pay It Forward
A good deed leads to a good day! You’d be surprised how doing something nice for someone else can make you feel better. Buy a coffee for the next person in the queue, pay for a parking ticket or offer some advice to a friend. It’s a simple way of not only helping other’s but brightening your mood as well as you know you’ve made someone’s day.
RELAX, don’t do it!
If you are having a bad day, don’t stress yourself out! Try not to take too much on. It can always be done the next day. Breath in, breath out! Taking a moment or two to calm yourself. Try a spot of mindfulness meditation if you have a spare 10 minutes. There is a great app called Calm.com for the IPhone which is fantastic for anyone who needs relaxation on the go.

Best friends are the best people you will ever meet. They can turn the dullest days into something exciting and fun. Call your best one and ask them out for lunch. A good ol’ chin wag or a rant about your day is bound to rid you of tension and stress. Your sure to have a right chuckle as well which is sure to help.
Think Positive Thoughts
Affirmations and positive quotes can really help you to revert to the right mind frame. You can get yourself an ‘Affirmation Desk Calender’ for work or a little book to keep in your bag. Keeping your favorite quote as your phone wallpaper so you can see it every time you check a message or Facebook can also be really beneficial. A positive outlook can completely change your view of life.
So try out at least one of these tips when you are feeling a bit down and see if it works for you!
